Redeem Your Barnes & Bailey Tickets for $3 Towards Our Show

Recent action by Texas Attorney General Gregg Abbott closing down the operations of the Gainesville, TX based Barnes & Bailey Bros Circus (slated to open in McAllen January 27th) wonít leave the children of McAllen without the magic of a real Big Top.

Hugo, Oklahoma's acclaimed Circus Chimera will open in McAllen on February 14th appearing for four days under the sponsorship of the City of McAllen Convention Center. Because the action by the Texas Attorney General's Office against the Barnes & Bailey Bros Circus cited deceptive ticket distribution, Circus Chimera and the City of McAllen Convention Center have announced that families holding the fraudulent Barnes & Bailey Bros family passes may redeem those passes for discounted admission to Circus Chimera shows.

ìWe just don't want to see the kids in McAllen let down,î explains Circus Chimera owner and executive producer James K. Judkins. "So the worthless Barnes & Bailey tickets will count as discount coupons good for three dollars off the price of admission to our show."

This year's Circus Chimera show is a retelling of Lewis Carrollís classic, Alice In Wonderland. It features a cast of performers from all over the world including Chinese jugglers, Kenyan acrobats, aerialists from Peru, clowns from Moscow ñ and even a golden-voiced ringmaster who's an alumnus of Texas A&M!

The two-hour show promises to keep audiences — young, and young at heart — on the edge of their seats. ìThe quality of the show is what attracts our customers," notes Judkins. "Circus Chimera has been described by critics throughout America as 'Cirque du Soleil at a family-friendly price.' Our production values are high. We have always been against deceptive or misleading advertising. We don't need to resort to gimmicks to attract our audience."

Circus Chimera tickets may be ordered by phone (1-888-663-7464) or online (www.circuschimera.com)
